Driving to the airport: Greece

The Attiki Odos, the Attica Tollway, runs from Elefsina by way of Stavros to Athens Airport. Its toll is paid once, at the toll station on the entry ramp, and is the same whatever the distance driven or the time of day; the staffed lanes accept cash and most bank cards. The airport’s own suggested routes from the city centre also follow ordinary avenues, Kifisias and Mesogion among them.

Elsewhere, Greece’s main motorways, among them the Olympia Odos, the Aegean Motorway and the Egnatia Odos, also charge tolls at toll stations, where electronic lanes serve holders of a toll tag. The e-PASS issued by the Attiki Odos operator is one such tag, and it works across the national motorway network.
