Driving to the airport: Denmark

The E20 passes Copenhagen Airport on its way to the Øresund Bridge and Malmö, and that bridge charges cars a toll. So does the Great Belt Bridge between Funen and Zealand, which drivers coming from western Denmark cross. You can pay for either crossing at its toll station or with an online ticket bought beforehand; the Øresund Bridge also offers its ØresundGO agreement, and at the Great Belt a Bizz tag or a number-plate payment agreement works as well.

Copenhagen, Frederiksberg, Aarhus, Aalborg and Odense have low-emission zones aimed at diesel vehicles. To enter, a diesel car must have a particulate filter or meet the required Euro emission standard; number-plate cameras enforce the rules, and owners of older foreign diesel cars must register them, with documentation, to drive in. No motorway lies inside the zones, and Copenhagen’s leaves out the Øresund motorway, the E20 past the airport.
